TEXAS WHITETAIL DEER: This unique offering is a hunt for mature bucks on the Independence Creek Preserve (9,000 acres-Oasis Ranch) in West Texas. Through habitat restoration and doe harvest, owners Robert McCurdy and the Nature Conservancy have returned the deer herd to a healthy balance. Buck-doe ratio is 1 to 1 with bucks going 130-160 B&C. LIVE VIDEOS & PHOTOS All ranches are scouted extensively throughout the year and we make every effort to capture some of the bucks roaming the ranches on film or video. Sometimes we catch them up close, but with others, it is only at long distance through a spotting scope that we can get the photos. These are available to all prospective clients per request.
